Suit for a Legen — wait for it — dary, reboot. If you missed watching Ted Mosby’s (Josh Radnor) humorous attempts to find his wife in How I met your motheryou probably keep up with Sophie (Hilary Duff). How I met your father.
Just like the original, HIMYF tells the story of a close-knit group of friends in their early twenties, working through their new relationships and careers. It’s a feel-good show with a hint of mystery – with each episode getting closer to revealing who the titular father might be. Sophie confirmed that she met her husband the night of her friend’s engagement party, which narrows down the options to the main characters Sid, Jesse, Ian, Charlie or Drew. Although most theories point towards Jesse, the franchise has already swayed viewers once before in the previous series, which makes the choice even more difficult.
While you’re trying to figure out who the father is, here are seven other shows that mimic his humor and comfort How I met your father.
