Pokemon Go November 2021 Community Day rumors: Will Shinx or Pachirisu headline?

Published

on

The next Pokemon Go Community Day is expected to take place in November 2021, and Trainers have already got some big theories about who the headliner could be.

Community Days are the biggest event of each month in Pokemon Go, with the spotlight shining on one specific Pokemon for a day full of themed Special Research tasks, bonuses like double XP or Stardust, and exclusive moves to unlock.

Unlike the weekly Spotlight Hours which only last for 60 minutes, Community Days typically give players six hours to make the most of everything there is to enjoy. Even better, they take place on weekends, so most Trainers can get involved.

Niantic hasn’t confirmed who will be appearing in the November 2021 Community Day yet, but there are already plenty of rumors and theories about who it could be! Here’s everything we know so far…

Pokemon Go November Community Day headliner rumors

The Pokemon Company

The Electric-type Shinx could be a Community Day headliner!

The biggest theory for the November 2021 Community Day is that the headliner will be Shinx. Niantic recently teased that Trainers should expect an Electric-type that debuted in the Sinnoh region, so Shinx certainly seems like the most likely candidate.

Based on those teasers, another potential headliner is Pachirisu. This one seems unlikely, though, as Community Day stars are typically Pokemon that are able to evolve, which gives Trainers an incentive to take part and collect as much Candy as possible.

The final potential Electric-type from the Sinnoh region is Rotom. A Community Day would give Niantic the option to introduce all of Rotom’s forms to Pokemon Go, but similar to Pachirisu, it just doesn’t seem as likely as a Shinx Community Day.

Before these teasers were released, one of the biggest theories was that the headliner would be a Kalos region starter: Chespin, Fennekin, or Froakie. This isn’t going to happen in November, but it does seem likely that one of them could be a December or January headliner.

Niantic has a history of alternating between starter and non-starter Pokemon in Community Days, a trend they revisited this year with the Unova trio. With Oshawott rounding them out September, the Kalos region starters are expected to follow in the near future.

When is the next Community Day in Pokemon Go?

Pokemon Go Community Day Lineup
Niantic

Community Days always take place once a month.

Niantic have confirmed that the next big Community Day will take place in Pokemon Go on Sunday, November 21, 2021.

It will run from 11am to 5pm local time, so there’s no need to worry about time zones.

How to prepare for the November Community Day

3 Poke Balls from Pokemon Go

You’ll need to stock up on Poke Balls ahead of Community Days!

If you’re going to take part in a Community Day, there are a few things you can do to prepare and get the most out of the event:

  • Purchase two Incense to use throughout the day as they will last longer than usual.
  • Save any Lure Modules you have as they will last for three hours during the event.
  • Stock up on lots of Poke Balls so you can catch plenty of the headline Pokemon.
  • Clear out your Pokemon Storage in advance for all the catching you’ll be doing.
  • Purchase a ticket from the Shop to unlock the Community Day’s Special Research.

FFXIV Online hairstyles guide: All cosmetics & how to change them

Published

on

Final Fantasy XIV Online’s hairstyles are perfect for sculpting the perfect in-game character, so here are all of FFXIV’s hairstyles, where to get them and how to change them.

One of the best things about Final Fantasy XIV Online is the limitless character customization options available to players.

FFXIV’s Glamour system allows players to tailor-make stunning outfits inspired by the likes of World of Warcraft, and there’s a vast collection of cosmetics to transform and refine your Warrior of Light’s features.

Part of that, of course, is your character’s hairstyle. While you have a small selection to choose from when you first create your character, there are some special styles that are only dropped by playing the game or buying them from the store. So, here are all of FFXIV’s hairstyles and their locations.

If you’re looking to level up your cosmetic game, here’s how to change your hairstyle in FFXIV.

How to change hairstyle in FFXIV

If you’ve already acquired a few of these cosmetic treasures, then you may be wondering how you equip them. While it’s relatively easy, there are a few prerequisites you’ll need to obtain first.

You must have obtained Level 15 with your character in order to unlock the quest “Beauty is Only Scalp Deep.” This bizarre mini-adventure tasks the Warrior of Light with recovering Eorzea’s local Aesthetician’s beauty tools.

By completing it, the player unlocks Jandelaine, who in turn will spruce up your tired do for 2,000 Gil – with one free haircut included!

In order to complete the quest and change your FFXIV hairstyle:

  1. Go to Limsa Lominsa.
  2. Head to the Drowning Wench on the Upper Decks.
  3. Speak to the Disgruntled Madam to start the Beauty is Only Scalp Deep quest.
  4. Complete this to unlock the Aesthetician, Jandelaine.
  5. Return to your inn or Free Company property.
  6. Ring the Crystal Bell.
  7. Voila! Choose your style and rock it!
    • Note that you can also change your hair color, eyebrows, tattoos and tattoo color, facial features (e.g. scars), face paint, and lip color.

All FFXIV hairstyles and locations

As of writing, there are currently 28 hairstyles for players to obtain within FFXIV, and they all offer a unique new look for your Warrior of Light.

Importantly, some styles will require you to use real money to purchase them via the game’s Mog Station, so if you’re looking to model yourself in the image of one of the Scions you’ll have to invest some cash.

A few others are no longer available as they were part of past fan festivals and events, but cross your fingers hard enough and you never know, maybe Square Enix will bring them back.

Listed below are all of the game’s hairstyles, alongside an image, and where to find them:

All Pokemon that evolve by trading in Pokemon Go

Published

on

Pokemon Go finally added trade evolutions back in 2020, allowing players to evolve their ‘mon simply by trading them with others.

Evolving Pokemon when trading has been a mechanic that’s been present since the very first Pokemon games: Red and Blue. Long-term fans will remember the likes of being able to evolve Kadabra to Alakazam, and Machoke to Machamp, both of which are iconic ‘mon in the franchise.

The idea of Pokemon Go adding trade evolutions was first revealed back in September of 2019, a significant amount of time after the game‘s initial release.

Even more than 20 years later in Pokemon Sword and Shield, Machamp still needs a trade to trigger its evolution from Machoke.

Pokemon that evolve by trading in Pokemon Go

The full list of Pokemon that can currently be evolved by trading is relatively small, so it’s worth utilizing this special feature whenever possible:

How much does evolve trading cost?

While all of these Pokemon can be evolved through the regular means of using your Pokemon’s Candy, trading the above ‘mon with a fellow player takes away some of that need.

When you trade a Pokemon to evolve it, the evolution Candy cost is reduced to zero. We’ve listed the cost of evolving each of these ‘mon through Candies below, and you can see that the method takes out a lot of work:

  • Haunter, Graveler, Kadabra, and Machoke: 100 Candy to evolve.
  • Boldore, Gurrdurr, Karrablast, and Shelmet: 200 Candy

Once you’ve found another player to connect with and trade, you’ve saved a lot of Candy and a lot of time trying to get that specific Pokemon evolution you want.

So, there you have it. Everything you need to know about all the Pokemon that evolve by trading in Pokemon Go!
