When Zach Shallcross tested positive for COVID during The bachelor Episode 5, not only was filming in London completely derailed, but he was forced to cancel his date with contestant Charity Lawson.
Lawson was understandably devastated to miss out on that quality time with Shallcross in London, but the preview for the rest of the season – shown at the end of episode 5 – shows the two finally reuniting for their date, taking a walk with horse and carriage on a cobbled street, sharing some passionate smooches and chatting over a romantic dinner. “I can tell I’m falling for you,” Lawson tells Shallcross in the preview. “You have a special way of making me feel like I’ve really seen him and chosen him. I feel like I’m the only girl in this world right now,” she says later. While the two seem to be building a strong connection as the weeks go on, the preview also shows Lawson shedding quite a few tears, which makes us wonder how long she’ll be around this season.

Charity Lawson is a 26-year-old child and family therapist from Columbus, Georgia, who received her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Auburn University in 2022. In her introductory video, which aired on Night 1, Lawson told viewers that she loves her “rewarding” career and is “so ready for love.” She explained that she is ready to find her life partner, get engaged at the end of the show and start a life with someone who treats her right and can make her laugh. She also shared her impressions of Shallcross’ After The Final Rose with the cameras, saying: ‘When Zach came out he was nervous, but it was cute. He was cute-edgy. I liked seeing that side of him.”
When Lawson got out of the limo on Night 1, she went to Shallcross and had a pretty boring introduction. “My name is Charity and that also means ‘love’ and I thought what better place to find love than here in the Bachelor mansion? And I couldn’t be more excited that it’s you who is the Bachelor,” she said. From her first impression, Lawson has been a solid standout at Shallcross, so it will be interesting to see if she makes it to Hometown Dates.

According to Reality Steve’s post, Shallcross gives Lawson a rose on their date, which means she’s making it to episode 7. But it sounds like she’s not making it to the altar with Shallcross.
Please note that all information from Bachelor Nation’s favorite spoiler remains unconfirmed. But according to Reality Steve’s extensive Season 27 spoilers, Lawson makes it to the final four of Shallcross, gets a date in the Georgia town, and then gets eliminated, leaving Kaity Biggar, Ariel Frenkel and Gabi Elnicki in his final three. We’ll have to watch to see how things pan out for us, but we’re at least happy that Lawson is finally getting a one-on-one date.
